This coming spring we will be tripling the size of the garden. Right now our garden is about 40′ by 30′ in size. In our first year here, we tried a variety of different vegetables. We found that Broccoli, Kale, Lettus Varieties, Potatoes, Carrots, Beats, Radishes, Corn, Squash including Pumkins, Cucumbers, Peas, Artichoke, Rubarb … and many different flowers grew really well. Sunflowers were over 12′ tall, Marigolds and Zinnias grew easily, and the clumps of Nasturshims were tasty. My wife grew amazing Echinacea and Rudbeckia from both starts and seed. They turned out beautiful. The Peppers and Tomatoes were the only veggies that didn’t do to well. From now on I am starting Tomatoes and Peppers early indoors, then just keeping them in large 25+ gallon pots. They have a short going season, and grow quickly.
